Answer three questions in your cover letter

A cover letter need not repeat your CV in paragraphs. Make your interest, evidence and connection to the role visible.

Why this role?

Which responsibility interests you? Go beyond the appeal of a job title. Choose a problem within the work and explain in your own words why you want to work on it. Do not add praise about the company that you have not verified.

Which experience supports that interest?

Choose one relevant example. Explain context, your contribution and what changed. Do not reinvent your history to fit the listing; distinguish related experience from learning when you lack direct experience. Do not make the reader reconstruct your entire career.

Why this team?

Make a concrete connection to a product, working arrangement or public information about the company. Finish with a brief check: correct company, correct position, truthful example and working links. Replace template placeholders before using the text.

Turn reading into an output

  1. Choose one responsibility that interests you.
  2. Write a real example connected to it.
  3. Check the company and position names again.
